The Renewable Energy Conversion Working Group (RECWG) addresses the collection of solar radiation and its conversion into electricity and other energy forms. Currently, the primary focus of the group is photovoltaic (PV) energy conversion which includes solar cell device, panel and system technology. The group covers terrestrial and space photovoltaic technology, from advanced research and development to system operation. Other areas of renewable energy conversion are encompassed as needed (i.e. thermophotovoltaics, wind and hydro power, biomass conversion, etc.) by the working group members.
