Why Join the IAPG?
You may join the Interagency Advanced Power Group under any of 3 levels
of membership if you meet the following qualifications:

Federal Sponsoring Agency Members
Employees of the following federal agencies may join the IAPG:
As an employee of an IAPG Federal Sponsoring Agency, members are eligible to hold an office within the IAPG organizational structure. Periodic meetings are sponsored to share technological advancements, to exchange program information, and to network. Employees of IAPG member agencies are invited to attend these meetings, however, formal invitations are sent to members of the Working Groups. Members’ names will be shown on the membership roster on the IAPG web site.

Associate Federal Members
Two groups are included in Level 2:
- Employees of Non-IAPG Sponsoring Federal Organizations have full access to
IAPG information and names may be shown on the membership roster on the
IAPG web site. This group of members does not have a vote on the Steering Group.
- Employees of Federal National Labs, Federally Funded Research and Development
Centers (FFRDC’s), and Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated Facilities (GOCO’s)
may join the IAPG. This group has access to information shared at IAPG meetings except where
there is discussion about issues/funding which may provide a competitive advantage.
Membership applications are reviewed by appropriate Steering Group Representative/ Alternate
for approval; approved member names will be shown on membership roster on the IAPG web site.
This group of members may not hold IAPG leadership positions.

Observers
Individuals employed by Government contract and whose work is performed on-site at a Government facility
and employees of research and development technology-related industries and institutions including
colleges and universities may join the IAPG as Observers. Observer members may attend meetings sponsored
by the IAPG and participate in sharing technological advances and the exchange of information. Observers
may be asked to speak at meetings. Observers may not hold IAPG leadership positions. Names will not be
shown on membership roster on the IAPG web site.
